Our Priorities For New York

Building a better New York, where families live at ease in homes that are within reach, where can speak out freely. In our New York, all have a say.

Affordable Housing & Homelessness

Expand affordable housing and allowing New Yorkers to live comfortably in the neighborhoods they love.

Address homelessness with long-term solutions providing stability for both renters and owners.

Continue to provide moderate priced housing, such as Manhattan Plaza near Times Square, allowing upcoming performing arts talent to keep coming and stay in New York. These artists, actors and other creative talents contribute to the bountiful cultural life that New York City offers the country and the world, and which draws visitors to our city.

Public Safety & Community Trust

Keep New York secure by promoting and investing in neighborhood and local protection. We want ensure that every neighborhood feels protected, without sacrificing civil rights or feeling singled out.

Public safety is always a concern in big cities from schools to streets to crime. New York city needs more and better trained police as well as more community and civilian based safety.

Pedestrian accidents caused on city sidewalks by bikes, mopeds, scooters etc., need regulation.

Economic Equity & Family Support

Champion living-wage jobs, childcare affordability, and small business growth to support working families.

We are so lucky to live in such diverse city. We want all of our communities to feel appreciated at work and at home.

mission and vision

Our mission is to make New York better and smarter — a city that protects families, lifts up students
and ensures that all New Yorkers have the best chance in happiness and wellbeing.

Our new vision is about a city where schools nurture talent, communities feel safe, housing
and healthcare are within reach for all.

Schools & Education

Every NYC student should graduate high school speaking at least two additional languages beside their own native language, and have a foundation in Latin to strengthen critical thinking.
Our goal is smaller class sizes, more assistant teachers, and more art and music to spark creativity and opportunity.
Year-round enrichment, including after-school projects, summer programs such as the Fresh Air Fund, sports and expanded student internships in city agencies.
Support working parents through quality early daycare options, with the choice to stay home if they wish.

Public Safety

More and better-trained police, with language skills and psychological training to better serve our diverse communities.
Smarter school security and more transit police presence where needed — without turning the city into a military zone.
Gun buy-back incentives, discussions on alternatives  to weapons such as mace, pepper spray and also civilian based programs to reduce aggression.

Housing & Healthcare

Expand affordable housing through 80-20, or similar developments, including modern updates of such well known models similar to Mitchell-Lama and Hunters Point South. Reduce reliance on shelters.
Strengthen women, children and family services, to connect housing, school, and safety.
If more doctors, along with other medical professionals, volunteer time to low cost community care and clinics, we can bring more wellbeing and healthcare to more New Yorkers.

I’m running to make New York safer, smarter, and stronger — a city run by a woman who knows what it is to be a single mother, a city where children prosper in schools, where families are proud of their neighborhoods. All New Yorkers merit access to the best living situation and healthcare available. Our future depends on investing in education, and on us building trust and safety together. With our new vision together, we can write in a better New York.
